You will be inspired reading the history of how the Lord laid the foundation for the establishment of Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA). The religious background of Shenandoah Valley settlers, their interest in education, the beginning of Adventism, and the establishment of church headquarters in the valley, all provided an impetus for young Bible worker, Charles D. Zirkle, to gift his inheritance of 42-acres to create the school that would become SVA. Zirkle's founding philanthropic gift established a legacy of giving by SVA Alumni and Friends that sustains this special school and its wonderful students to this day.
